Publishing an app in the ecosystem

  5. 5. Release and maintenance

1. Product identity

State the product name, publisher, task and intended users. Give it a stable information page and entry. Distinguish an app from businesses using it rather than listing each business account as new software.

2. Usage information

Explain whether it is available, a pilot or in development; guest capabilities; and tasks requiring an account, access or payment. Provide a guide, support contact and real interface images with safe sample data. Images do not establish live service availability.

3. Data and security

Provide privacy and terms matching actual operation. Explain received information, purposes, providers, retention, deletion and revocation. Do not ask for unnecessary Google or device access. Explain sensitive data or AI processing before sending or granting access.

4. Language, appearance and usability

Published information needs complete announced languages, mobile readability, keyboard access and appropriate light/dark appearance. Entries, sign-in, connection errors and support must be understandable. Updates should protect ongoing work or explain how to preserve it.

5. Release and maintenance

The responsible publisher confirms information and release before listing in Explore. Important access, data, price or interface changes require updated pages and guidance. When service ends, replace launch actions with a notice and appropriate data guidance.
